Huntingdon & District Bowls final league table as at 29th August 2024
A 5-2 loss at Needingworth ends the season with the team finishing in fifth. Brampton B and Warboys are promoted with Sawtry B and Somersham B relegated. Next year we will have trips to Eynesbury A and Ramsey A who were demoted from Division 1, with St Ives B and St Neots B promoted from Division 3.
Millicent Childs Over 60s final league table as at 4th September 2024
2 points from from our last game of the season against Gamlingay made sure we secured fifth place, just one and a half points behind fourth placed Sharnbrook. Potton and Gamlingay go up so our travel next year will be much reduced. Looking downwards, we finished five and a half points clear of White Hart and eight and a half points clear of Brampton B.
I did say thanks to all of the team that were at Gamlingay on Monday. I’d like to say the same to those that weren’t there for that match. In my first season as Captain we acheived the three things I hoped for. We didn’t get relegated, we didn’t get promoted and we had a full team for every match. In fact, on two occasions we had ten players! Thanks to every one of you, it was good fun and that’s what it’s all about.
