Photo Galleries

A picture paints a thousand words

One thing the club is definitely short on is pictures. I tried to create some galleries last year, but playing and trying to get some shots of the action on the green proved to be more difficult than I thought. I guess I'll have to try harder this year. Kicking us off are some images from the club open day. I hope to add a gallery to each match we play, subject to the opposition team's approval. There might be the occasional video too, but that will be hosted on our upcoming YouTube channel.  Watch this space.

Visit by Ben Obese-Jecty MP to the club

The club was visited on the 1st May by Ben Obese-Jecty, our local MP. The visit was arranged by John Lock, who sits on the committee and is responsible for promoting the club to local businesses and potential sponsors. Members of the committee chatted with Ben about the club and its place in the local community, with  a view to improving our visibility. As you can see, Ben took the opportunity to have a roll-up against Ross Martin, his ADC, who is himself a very good bowls player. A short video of the event will be appearing on our upcoming YouTube channel in the close future.

Home to Sharnbrook B - Wednesday 29th April

It was my intention to show a gallery of images from every game that I'm involved in, but that might prove quite difficult. As a man, it's natuarally hard to multi-task, but at some stages the rink I was playing on got very close. I needed to concentrate more on the game than photography. Some galleries may be smaller than I planned!

The open day - Sunday 26th April

Here's a few still images from our open day. It was unusual this year as the weather was perfect for bowls!

These images are highly compressed and of lowish quality. This helps them load on this page faster. Some pictures may appear cut off. That's because they are portrait format images being displayed in a landscape format. Clicking or tapping on any image will enlarge it so you can see it as it was intended to be.
